The festival highlights includes theatrical performances, musical performances and film screenings, in addition to the activities of busy streets and squares of Houmt Souk Djerba, which are performed by students from art schools and by French specialists.
The Festival of pottery Guellala
The festival aims to raise awareness of the pottery industry and communicate its capabilities development and innovation, both artistic and technical in Tunisia, as elsewhere, enhance the image of ceramic art to the general public, exchange skills and to enrich the knowledge by inspiring new ideas.
The festival Guellala begins in August and lasts for ten days with a varied program for each day devoted to a particular theme. Among these themes are:
Pottery, photography exhibition of the largest jar in the world.
* Carnival of traditional marriage.
* Child's day with an evening of entertainment and folk.
* A day of sport with tournament tennis, petanque and a football match for the veterans.
* Book day with a morning animation library: drawing and poetry as well as a roundtable.
* A Day dedicated to the woman with the opening of the exhibition of women: craft production and daily life.

Youth day with all computer and Internet non-stop youth center Guellala.
* A poetry evening at the famous museum Guellala.
* A trip to Guellala, a site visit on carts with traditional games, riding and donkey racing.
